Thank you for supporting and encouraging me in my return to full-time study to complete my degree. It has been an honour to have worked for you. You are one of the people who trained when beauty therapy was first introduced to New Zealand and throughout your time as an outstanding beauty therapist and owner/ manager of various clinics you have continually up skilled and increased your experience and knowledge of specialised treatments, and recent discoveries within the beauty therapy world. You have then imparted your knowledge onto your staff and encouraged them to also share with the team their own talents and areas of interest and experience. Your care and managerial technique brings out the best in those you employ and installs a greater confidence and realisation of what they personally have to offer the industry. It is rare to have a manager who is not only trained within the beauty therapy industry but also a great teacher who is incredibly talented and passionate about encouraging staff to continually increase their skills and better themselves. Not only are you supportive of ongoing training but you also encourage the utilisation of various talents that both you and your team of therapists, hairdressers and receptionist have to offer. I really appreciate all the time and training you have given me, and I have learnt a lot both professionally and personally during my time of working for you. Thank you for all the opportunities you have given me during the four years that I have been a beauty therapist at Face and Body. I have enjoyed working for you and being part of such an incredible team. Margaret, I wish you every success for the future. You are an exceptional lady whose talents and abilities will give distinction to any endeavours you undertake.

Having owned my beauty therapy clinic for just over two years, I decided it was time for me to get in a business consultant. My business was plodding along, but I decided that I wanted to start 2008 with more systems and organisation in my business. Margaret came to visit me in my clinic and we discussed where I wanted to go with my business and what I felt I needed help with. We didn’t just talk business, we discussed other commitments and priorities in my life, because it is necessary to have a balance – which is something that Margaret understands. We went right back to basics which was fantastic! I have now got systems and records in place that I wish I had implemented at the very beginning. Everything she taught me made absolute sense and I am already seeing results with the changes I have made. I highly recommend her to everyone I talk to who is in the beauty therapy/hairdressing industry because she has so many years experience and has been where we are! I just wanted to extend a personal thank you to you. My daughter Lauren spent some time with you and one of your staff yesterday afternoon, finding all about a career in beauty therapy and Lauren was full of enthusiasm when she was telling me about it last night. She is quite a quiet girl so it was refreshing to hear her speak so positively. She mentioned your name and I have heard of you before and know that your business has won many awards in the past. I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to speak with Lauren, as she now has a clear picture of what she needs to do, if she wishes to pursue a career in that direction. I have many students come for work experience in my business and it is great to give them that opportunity.

I wanted to pass on my personal congratulations following the Pathways to the Future Awards ceremony last week. Your staff are a credit to you and they clearly respect and admire you. I have only recently taken up the role of General Manager at Prestige Services, and I would very much like to see one of our employees up there accepting an award next year.
